Manchester United fell to a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon after Morgan Rogers scored twice for the hosts.
Manchester United could not capitalise on their dominance throughout the game and Morgan Rogers produced two moments of magic to secure the points.
Ruben Amorim’s side can take positives from the performance but they seem to consistently fail to take advantage when they are controlling games and creating chances.
The United player ratings can be read below.
United player ratings vs Aston Villa
Senne Lammens – 6/10
Couldn’t do much about either goal.
Leny Yoro – 4/10
He had to pressure Rogers more for both goals, really poor defending.
Ayden Heaven – 7/10
Looked much more comfortable in the middle. Calm and won most of his duels.
Luke Shaw – 6/10
Decent play.
Diogo Dalot – 5/10
Allowed the cross for the second goal.
Manuel Ugarte – 4/10
Looked off the pace all game. Predictably booked midway through the second half and was then subbed.
Bruno Fernandes – 6/10
It looked like he pulled his hamstring, which is hard to believe for United fans.
Patrick Dorgu – 6/10
Worked hard all game but still missing quality in key moments.
Mason Mount – 7/10
Decent.
Matheus Cunha – 7.5/10
Great finish but he should have scored a second with his head in the second half.
Benjamin Šeško – 5/10
Missed a big chance early on.
Substitutes
