A young Manchester United side lost 3-1 against Wrexham in a pre-season friendly in San Diego on Wednesday.

It was right-back Marc Jurado who provided the goal for The Reds to get back into the game before a senseless red card decision led to Wrexham pulling away for the win.

Erik ten Hag would’ve still been impressed by several performances from the young side on the night.

The full player ratings can be seen below.

Nathan Bishop – 5/10

Lucky to not get sent off with a mistimed challenge on Paul Mullin.

Marc Jurado – 7/10

An excellent run and finish to make up for some static defending at the back post earlier on. Good on ball throughout.

Will Fish – 6/10

A lot to deal with on a difficult night.

Jonny Evans – 5/10

A poor display from the experienced defender against a physical Wrexham frontline.

Alvaro Fernandez – 7/10

Some moments where he seemed to glide past opponents and a wicked cross to help get United back into the game.

Toby Collyer – 7/10

A decent performance at the base of the midfield.

Isak Hansen-Aaoren – 6/10

Not too much of note but a few moments of quality.

Hannibal Mejbri – 8.5/10

One of the best players in the first half. Looked a level above most of his peers but will be disappointed he was involved tonight rather than against Real Madrid with the first-team tomorrow.

Dan Gore – 8/10

Excellent on the ball with some zipped passes forward and take-ons. Also competed well physically against the lower league side. A nothing challenge somehow given as a red card for the youngster in a pre-season friendly summed up the referees display on the night.

Shola Shoretire – 5.5/10

Comfortable on the ball but no real threat when attacking his full-back.

Joe Hugill – 6/10

Good centre-forward play throughout.

Substitutes

Radek Vitek – 5.5/10

Only slightly better than Bishop. Also made a glaring error for one goal but a few promising moments, including a solid save, for the young ‘keeper.

Maxi Oyedele – 7.5/10

Looked sharp and exciting off the bench.

Sonny Aljofree – 6/10

Decent display.

Charlie McNeill – 7.5/10

Also quite good off the bench.

Willy Kambwala – N/A
