Manchester United have dropped a major hint surrounding Leny Yoro’s potential availability as Rúben Amorim prepares for the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur.
Manchester United are locked in on the Europa League final, where they’ll take on Tottenham in Bilbao this Wednesday evening.
Despite a torrid spell in the Premier League—now eight matches without a win—Rúben Amorim’s side have looked unstoppable in Europe.
After finishing third in the league phase, United swept aside Real Sociedad 5-2 on aggregate in the round of 16, with Bruno Fernandes netting a hat-trick in the return leg.
The quarter-finals were pure chaos. A 2-2 draw in Lyon set up a dramatic night at Old Trafford, where United raced into a 2-0 lead, collapsed to 4-2, and then pulled off a stunning turnaround with goals from Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo, and Harry Maguire in the space of seven minutes.
They followed that with a commanding performance in the semi-finals, beating Athletic Club 3-0 away and 4-1 at home. Now, only Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs stand between them and a European trophy.
United drop Yoro inclusion hint vs Tottenham
As United tend to do whenever they reach a domestic or European final, the club have created a set of bespoke and tailored suits for their players to wear as they arrive in Bilbao ahead of the final.
Usually, these suits are designed by the club’s official formal wear partner, Paul Smith. The Europa League showdown is no exception, as photos were released showing several players wearing their tailored blue suits and white shirts.
While Mason Mount, Bruno Fernandes, and Toby Collyer are all featured in the club’s official photo release, the most interesting inclusion is Leny Yoro.
Yoro missed United’s last fixture, the 1-0 loss against Chelsea on Friday evening, with the player having succumbed to a foot injury earlier this month and was a major doubt for the final.
However, with United confirming that the player has had a suit tailor-made for the occasion, this heavily suggests that the French centre-back will be involved.
Further, the club leaned into the hint by naming Yoro for the notification from the official United app stating the photos had been released, writing the caption “See the players – including Leny Yoro – trying on their Paul Smith threads for Bilbao,” accompanied by a suggestive eyes emoji.
United mean business for the Europa League final
While the squad have rightly been criticised for a lack of care in some fixtures this campaign, especially in the Premier League, there is little doubt that Amorim’s men mean business for the upcoming Europa League final.
Suiting up for a final is tradition for United, but while the club have performed poorly domestically, their form in Europe has been chaotic but fantastic.
The side have scored 19 goals across their six knockout ties, with Bruno Fernandes notching seven across the competition while Casemiro scored in both semi-final legs against Athletic Club.
There is little doubt that, when United turn up suited and ready for the final against Tottenham, they will hit the ground running with only one thought – to bring home the Europa League trophy and Champions League football at Old Trafford for next season.
