Patrick Dorgu has revealed a significant change at Manchester United this season as the Reds look to continue improving.
Manchester United currently sit sixth in the Premier League table after 15 games and they are just six points away from Manchester City in second.
Ruben Amorim’s side have dropped silly points but there are clear improvements from last season, where the Reds were dreadful across the campaign.
Patrick Dorgu was the first major signing under Amorim in January and he was thrown into a difficult environment at Old Trafford.
The 20-year-old has shown great physical qualities but there remain question marks over his ability to take his game to the next level and shine as a wingback in Amorim’s system.
Dorgu reveals significant change at United this season
Dorgu has been speaking to club media in recent days, and he was asked about the biggest changes between now and last season.
The Danish international believes that the Reds are now playing more as a team, and that is partly down to the bond they have created in recent months and over pre-season.
“I think we play more as a team now,” he replied. “We try to get everyone involved and we just need to keep going and hopefully do well. We’re still in a good position in the league.
“We’re more together this season than when I came in the beginning.
“The pre-season was good too, to integrate everybody and bond the team and obviously the few results we had before the international break helped us as well to get that team spirit in. I think we bonded well off the pitch too, so that’s good.”
Dorgu reflects on time at United so far
Dorgu has had some really dominant games for United while also looking quite anonymous at times in other fixtures.
He must improve his ability in the final third, with his crossing being the most frustrating aspect, but Dorgu is settling in after a turbulent year.
It is easy to forget that he is still only 21 years old and has not even spent 12 months at Old Trafford yet

“It’s been good,” he added when asked about his life in Manchester away from the field. “I have my own place and my family come and visit me a lot.
“It’s nice, it’s chilled and a good place to live. I like to eat, to chill and play video games with my friends. I watch Netflix and YouTube, whatever.
“I’ve learned a lot and I think I’ve adapted to the league well, so I’m happy with the first year.”
