Owen Hargreaves has spotted one particular aspect of Bryan Mbeumo which he loves amid comparisons to Mohamed Salah.
Manchester United have achieved four wins out of four under interim manager, Michael Carrick as their superb Premier League form continues with a strong 2-0 victory against Tottenham Hotspur.
Cristian Romero’s early red card for a rash challenge on Casemiro handed United the advantage as Bryan Mbeumo shortly found the opener on the end of a neat corner routine set up by Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo.
United doubled their lead with their captain once again finding his way into the goal involvements as he was quickest to reach Diogo Dalot’s cross in the 81st minute, getting ahead of Archie Gary and smartly connecting with his shin to give United their second.
Former United player Champions League winner with the club, Owen Hargreaves was full of praise for Mbeumo as he spotted one particular aspect of the Cameroonian during his fantastic performance.
Hargreaves loves “ridiculous” Mbeumo trait
Speaking on TNT Sports, Hargreaves was full of praise for United’s summer signing from Brentford as he scored the first at Old Trafford.
“Do you know what… it’s probably going to sound ridiculous… I like that he doesn’t overly celebrate the he scores. It looks like he believes he should do it all the time.”
“And I think that’s kind of a… Just a little dance. I think he just looks… He’s, what is he, 26 27? They’re at the perfect age where they’ve been in the Premier League, they understand it, but they can deliver as well.”
“He’s just got it. You know, he’s a great finisher. I said at the start of the season, he reminds me of Mo Salah a little bit when he gets in those.”
“He’s just a good finisher. He has a clear picture. He doesn’t get too up, he doesn’t get too down. And I think that’s a brilliant attitude to have when you’re playing for a big club.”
Mbeumo handling the pressure of Man Utd
Mbeumo has quickly become a star at Old Trafford, leading United’s goalscoring tally with 10 in all competitions.
Arriving from Brentford in the summer, the forward had great experience in England’s top flight and has bonded with the rest of the United squad with ease quickly becoming a fan favourite both on and off the pitch.

The expectations over Manchester United players has proven to be too strong in many cases, but Mbeumo seems to have taken it in his stride as he looks to strengthen even more.
He will continue to be an imperative part of United’s hunt for Champions League football and may United fans dare to dream of a title race?
