What Noussair Mazraoui said as Manchester United confirm five-year deal for right-back
Noussair Mazraoui has spoken for the first time since Manchester United announced the signing of the Morocco international from Bayern Munich.
Noussair Mazraoui has officially joined Manchester United on a four-year deal with the option for a further season, completing his £12 million transfer from Bayern Munich to Old Trafford.
The Morrocan right-back will be reunited with Erik ten Hag, who previously coached him during his rise through Ajax’s academy and into the first team.

Mazraoui’s arrival comes at a crucial time for United, who are in need of defensive reinforcements following a campaign that saw them concede over 80 goals.
He will be competing for a spot in the right of defence alongside Diogo Dalot following Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s departure to West Ham – although it has been noted that Mazraoui may also provide cover at left-back, too.
Speaking to club media following his signing, Mazraoui said: “It’s an incredible feeling to be a Manchester United player, and I cannot wait to walk out at Old Trafford wearing the red shirt.
“I know that I’m joining the club at an exciting time; everyone I’ve spoken to has the same ambition for us to win trophies together, and I can feel the determination to achieve that.
“Erik ten Hag played an important part in my development as a player, so it is exciting to be reuniting with him as I enter the prime years of my career. I know what he expects from his players, and I will give everything to help the group be successful.”
Mazraoui is expected to be available later this week as Manchester United prepare to face Fulham at Old Trafford in their Premier League season opener.
