“No point in panicking…” – Man Utd starlet sends cryptic message after MOTM display, he is waiting patiently

One Manchester United starlet has sent a cryptic message on social media after standing out in a recent youth team fixture.

Ruben Amorim has been included Manchester United youth players in his first-team squad on a regular basis in recent months, partly because of injuries.

The United boss has given debuts to Chido Obi and Harry Amass, while several others have been named on the bench without coming on.

Sekou Kone is among those players, with the 19-year-old amongst the substitutes against Everton and Tottenham Hotspur in February.

The midfielder was signed in the summer window from Mali-based club Guidars FC for a reported £1 million fee and his addition excited many fans.

He produced a Man of the Match performance for the under-21s last week against Leeds United, scoring his first goal for the club and winning a penalty too. That has only strengthened the noise for Amorim to give him a first-team debut in the coming weeks.

Kone sends cryptic message after MOTM display

United had a clear plan to slowly integrate Kone when he joined in the summer, allowing him to build fitness and get used to his new life in Manchester.

He has not conducted any media for the club since arriving to avoid any unnecessary noise and the player seems to be happy to bide his time for opportunities in the first-team.

In a new post on Instagram posted after his standout display against Leeds, Kone added a message to a group of photos which translates to “Everything is written, there’s no point in panicking.”

This is not the first time Kone has suggested that he’s waiting patiently for his chance under Amorim.

After winning against West Brom in mid-March, he posted: “It doesn’t matter if I move slowly so I will always improve inshallah.”

While there are certainly fans hoping that he is pushed into the limelight, Kone’s mentality seems to be the right one.

Kone understands United’s integration approach

Kone’s ultimate goal will be to break into the first team and contribute to Amorim’s squad, which currently lacks a midfielder of his profile.

Technically, Kone is highly skilled and also possesses the attributes needed to be effective out of possession. However, this is his first season playing at a more competitive level since leaving Mali and the need for consistent game-time has been obvious.

Reports suggest he will have an opportunity to impress Amorim during the next pre-season, with the potential to secure a spot in the club’s summer tour squad.

United’s staff believe Kone has the qualities to thrive in Amorim’s system, but there is no rush to fast-track his development and he has showcased that he understands that stance.
