National team manager hands Ruben Amorim huge boost after five-month Manchester United point

One national team manager has handed Ruben Amorim a huge Manchester United boost after he made a five-month point.

Manchester United began their Premier League season with a loss to Arsenal, but there were still positives to build on from the performance.

They then earned a draw on the road against Fulham before recording their first league win of the campaign against Burnley.

With the first international break of the season now underway, Ruben Amorim will be hoping that he has a fully fit group when the Reds return to action.

An away clash against Manchester City comes next before games with Chelsea, Brentford and Sunderland.

Usually, the concern when the international break comes around is that players play too much and risk injuries.

But with certain players, United will be keen for them to get extra minutes with their countries before returning to Old Trafford.

Benjamin Šeško is yet to start a Premier League clash for the Reds. Amorim explained that his 90 minutes against Grimsby Town was his first full game since April.

With just one full game in five months, Šeško has now played back-to-back 90 minute games for Slovenia in matches against Sweden and Switzerland.

Slovenia boss Matjaž Kek has provided Amorim with a boost in this aspect, and Šeško will now be ready for more minutes when he returns to club action.

Šeško and United can thrive against City

Šeško could receive his full Premier League debut against Manchester City, while Matheus Cunha also seems like he’ll be fit for the clash.

Pep Guardiola’s side have struggled at the beginning of this season and they continue to look vulnerable in defensive transition.

This is an area where Šeško, as well as the likes of Cunha and Mbeumo, can thrive and it might be the best way for United to win the game.

United are still not great at dominating possession or breaking down a deep block, but the talent in the frontline make those fast attacks much more dangerous.
