Napoli receive fresh Jadon Sancho update as agent explains ‘feasible’ Manchester United deal

Italian side Napoli have received an exciting update on Jadon Sancho as the potential deal for the Manchester United winger has been explained.

Jadon Sancho’s time at Manchester United has been dreadful for both him and the club, and it is clear that they need to part ways permanently this summer.

That was what United fans thought would happen when Chelsea agreed to take him on a loan with an obligation to buy, but they managed to pay a fine to avoid signing the winger.

Sancho’s camp have been assessing his options in recent weeks ahead of an inevitable summer move and Napoli are one of the clubs to recently register their interest in the 25-year-old.

Any kind of agreement seems like it will be difficult as Sancho is unwilling to lower his wages too much after being given around £300,000-per-week at Old Trafford.

Agent explains Sancho to Napoli possibility

Napoli took on Scott McTominay from United last summer and were able to get the midfielder to produce a standout season in the Serie A.

They are probably hoping for a similar turnaround for Sancho and have now been that United ‘are going to have to lower’ their demands for the player, who is valued at around £25 million.

Intermediary Vincenzo Morabito has explained that the Reds could be forced to lower those demands simply because of Sancho’s extraordinary wages and the fact that Ruben Amorim has made it clear that he does not want the player.

Morabito suggests that the deal is ‘feasible’ for Napoli if those numbers are lowered, which appears to be the only way to make a deal happen.

“Ruben Amorim has made it very clear he does not want Sancho or Marcus Rashford in pre-season training,” Morabito told Radio CRC.

“Manchester United are going to have to lower their expectations for Sancho, because they cannot ask for £25m for a player who has one year left on his contract and earns £18m per season wages.

“This operation is feasible, but we need to see how tough Manchester United can be holding out here, because Sancho is a good player and did pretty well at Chelsea. Cristiano Giuntoli wanted to bring him to Juventus last year, but then it didn’t go through.”

United need to bite the bullet with Sancho

This feels like the first bullet United will need to bite this summer. Keeping Sancho on the books in any capacity, with his contract running out next season, should not be on the cards.

Even if the Reds lower their demands to around £15 million, they would still be sure to be getting his wages off the books and generating around £20 million from the transfer and penalty fees paid by a new club and Chelsea.

At this moment in time, United have to accept that they have very little power in certain deals and have to simply cut their losses.

Maybe, in a few years time, the club will be in a position where they do not need to bow down to demands of other clubs in transfer sagas because they’re in a much healthier position on the pitch and financially.

But, right now, that is not the case and keeping Sancho in any capacity would make little sense, so Morabito’s prediction could end up coming true.
