“Morphed into…” – Chris Sutton delivers Man Utd vs Everton score prediction as two key players highlighted

Former Premier League striker Chris Sutton has delivered his prediction for the upcoming game between Manchester United and Everton.

With the November international break behind them, Ruben Amorim has shifted focus to getting Manchester United ready for Monday night’s clash with Everton.

United sit seventh in the Premier League table, level on points with fifth-placed Tottenham, just one point off Sunderland in fourth, and two behind Chelsea in third.

Despite a rocky opening to the campaign, they’ve built momentum with a five-game unbeaten streak and only one loss in their last seven matches.

Everton, currently 13th, have recorded two wins, two defeats, and a draw across their previous five fixtures. Their 2–0 loss to Fulham before the break hasn’t shaken David Moyes’ squad, who remain confident as they head to Old Trafford.

Sutton delivers United vs Everton score prediction

Despite United’s positive form, Chris Sutton believes that the reaction has been over-the-top even if the Reds have shown some improvement.

Still, the ex-Premier League forward has predicted Amorim’s men to win 1-0 over Everton on Monday night and believes that the Toffees will not cause United any defensive issues at Old Trafford.

He has also highlighted Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha as the main threats for the hosts in this upcoming clash.

“You’d be forgiven for thinking Manchester United have morphed into Real Madrid from the reaction to their recent results,” Sutton told BBC Sport.

“But, although all the excitement around them has been a bit over the top, they have definitely improved – and especially at home.

“David Moyes will make things difficult for United on his return to Old Trafford and his side will be resilient as usual, but I don’t think they will hold out.

“If Everton had a goalscoring number nine then the outcome would be more in doubt but I don’t see them causing United problems at the other end of the pitch, either.

“I am keeping Beto in my Fantasy team, because you can guarantee that if I took him out he would start this game and score, but – with Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha – United carry far more of a threat.”

United need the right determination vs Everton

United’s form probably doesn’t deserve as much praise as it is getting but on the other hand, if a loss comes their way soon then the reaction will be over the top in the opposite direction.

That is the way things work at Old Trafford nowadays, with reactions usually over the top in a positive or negative sense.

While fans and pundits are like that, Amorim needs his players to stay level-headed going into the winter period otherwise they will slip up in games against the likes of Everton.

If they head into that clash with the right determination then their quality will likely come through and another three points will be on the cards.
