Mega offer for Manchester United player is “absolutely true” – clubs want to see if star has changed his mind since 2023

Manchester United have made it well-known in the media that almost all of their players are up for sale at the right price this summer.

Manchester United are in urgent need of raising funds this summer as they look to reshape Rúben Amorim’s squad at Old Trafford.

The club are aiming for a complete revamp of their forward line, with Matheus Cunha already signed and talks ongoing with Brentford for Bryan Mbeumo.

But those two deals have already eaten up United’s initial transfer budget, meaning any further signings—particularly a striker and a midfielder—will depend on player sales.

United are open to selling Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, and Antony, while Rasmus Højlund could also be sold if the right offer comes in.

Casemiro offer from Saudi Pro League is “absolutely true”

In the last few days, reports have emerged that Casemiro is in “advanced” talks with Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.

However, journalist Ben Jacobs has confirmed that while Casemiro continues to be monitored by Saudi Arabian officials, no formal offer or advanced negotiations are currently in place.

Speaking on The United Stand YouTube channel, Jacobs clarified that while interest from the Saudi Pro League remains genuine, the situation is still in an early, informal phase. However, it is “absolutely true” that he has an offer from the Saudi Pro League on the table.

Casemiro has been approached by the central figures behind Saudi Arabia’s football project, including officials from the Ministry of Sport and the Saudi Pro League, both in 2023 and 2024. Other reports have suggested that this offer could be worth as much as £650,000 a week.

These contacts have not been tied to any specific club, and the main aim has been to gauge whether the player’s stance on a potential move has changed since the initial offer was made in 2023. As of now, no club has been allocated to Casemiro by the central Saudi system, and no serious talks have begun.

Jacobs likened the situation to that of Son Heung-min, where “soft contact” has been made without progressing toward a deal. Should Casemiro indicate a willingness to move, more concrete negotiations would likely follow.

United, for their part, are said to be willing to sanction a transfer at the right price — but only with the player’s approval. For now, despite continued Saudi interest, there is no agreement with Al-Nassr or any other club.

United should look only to sell Casemiro for a substantial fee

Around the turn of 2025, it was almost a given that United would look to offload Casemiro this summer, with the Brazilian out of Amorim’s first-team plans and on a poor run of form.

However, the 33-year-old then fought hard to win over the head coach and return to the starting team, and was instrumental in United’s run to the Europa League final, which was ultimalty lost against Tottenham Hotspur.

However, considering the player’s good form toward the end of the season, his leadership qualities, and the fact that United are not playing in Europe next season, it may be worth holding on to Casemiro this summer due to his positive impact on the squad.

If United were to secure a decent fee for the player, say around £20-30 million, this, combined with eliminating his wages, would be a significant financial boost. However, the club must ensure that Casemiro does not leave on the cheap.
