Mazraoui, Šeško, Onana: Manchester United injury update vs Fulham, Rúben Amorim confirms star is “ready to play” (Premier League)

Rúben Amorim has confirmed that one of his Manchester United stars is ready to play as they travel to face Fulham in the Premier League.

Manchester United head into their first away fixture of the 2025/26 season as Rúben Amorim’s side travel to West London to take on Fulham.

The Reds began their campaign with a narrow 1-0 loss to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at Old Trafford, but there were plenty of encouraging signs in the performance.

Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo both impressed on their full debuts, while Benjamin Šeško made his first appearance in United colours.

Amorim will now hope his team can build on that display and claim their first win of the new season.

Onana available to start vs Fulham

After Altay Bayındır’s mistake in goal led to United conceding their loan goal against Arsenal, questions about whether André Onana is available to play have intensified.

Onana was not part of the squad that faced Arsenal, while Noussair Mazraoui and Lisandro Martínez were also absent due to injury, with United refusing to put much of a timeline on either player’s return.

While Amorim confirmed that the latter pair remain out of action, he explained that Onana is “ready to play” against Fulham if selected.

“Onana is ready to play like last week, so we will see in the game who is going to be keeper,” Amorim told reporters on Friday afternoon. Licha is out, Nous is out. The rest of the guys are fit and ready to play.”

Amorim has three major decisions to make vs Fulham

Against Arsenal, many players, such as Leny Yoro, Cunha, Mbeumo, and Casemiro, played very well and are all expected to start on Sunday afternoon. However, there are three major decisions Amorim must make.

The first comes in goal. Reports suggest that Amorim is seriously considering reinstating Onana as his starting XI goalkeeper against Fulham, which would see Bayındır relegated to the bench.

Meanwhile, there is also the question of whether Šeško should be handed his maiden start. The new £66 million striker has had two weeks of training, and against Arsenal, it was clear to see that United missed the presence of a dominant striker up front.

Finally, Amorim must look to reinstate Amad at right wing-back. While Diogo Dalot provided extra defensive security against Arsenal, the head coach will look to play a more ball-dominant side against Fulham, and having Amad on the right flank will only enhance that approach.
