Manchester United will look to win their second trophy of the season as they take on Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium, officiated by Paul Tierney.

The FA Cup final sees its first-ever Manchester derby as Manchester United look to end Manchester City‘s hopes of their first-ever treble.

Erik ten Hag will be looking to secure his second trophy of the season as United defeated Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final in the same stadium back in February.

The officials for the fixture have been confirmed.

Match Referee

When United go toe-to-toe with City, Paul Tierney will be in control of the proceedings. The 42-year-old has officiated 30 Premier League games this season, including United’s 3-1 triumph over Arsenal back in September and 2-0 win over Leeds United in February.

Tierney isn’t hesitant to brand his cards, especially a yellow, as evidenced by the 124 yellow cards he has handed out across 33 fixtures this season. He has branded 2 red cards this season and gifted five penalties.

Assistant Referees

Neil Davies and Scott Ledger are set to assist Tierney at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Fourth Official

The fourth official stationed between Erik ten Hag and Pep Guardiola is Peter Bankes.

Video Assistant Referee (VAR)

David Coote is in charge of VAR for the final, with Simon Long his assistant.
