Greenwood is said to have had interest from three Italian Serie A clubs in recent weeks, as well as clubs in Turkey showing interest in the Manchester United forward.
Manchester United are looking set to make a decision on Mason Greenwood in the coming weeks with Erik ten Hag ‘willing’ to welcome him back into his squad.
Greenwood was recently included in Manchester United’s retained list as the play continues to be under contract with the club, despite his suspension.
The club have been conducting an internal investigation into Greenwood’s actions ever since the Crown Prosecution Services dropped their charges.
“In this case a combination of the withdrawal of key witnesses and new material that came to light meant there was no longer a realistic prospect of conviction. In these circumstances, we are under a duty to stop the case,” was the statement.
