Marcus Rashford has scored 11 goals for Manchester United this season, with his latest being the winner against Wolves at the Molineux to propel Erik ten Hag’s men into the top four in the Premier League.

Rashford, 25, was left on the bench as he missed a team meeting ahead of the game. However, he did not disappoint when Ten Hag brought him on at half-time.

The United forward has looked like a changed player under the management of the Dutchman and his teammates are completely confident of his ability.

Luke Shaw played at centre-back for the second fixture in a row and was full of praise for his fellow England star.

“When you have someone like Marcus Rashford coming on, you know a goal is coming,” he told BT Sport following United’s 1-0 win over Wolves.

“He is in a really good way at the moment, really positive and really happy. He is world-class and can be one of the best in the world if he keeps going,” added Shaw.

The defender has worked with Rashford on the left side for many years and the two of them have benefitted hugely under Ten Hag.

On the other hand, Casemiro has only worked with United’s no.10 for a number of months after his move from Real Madrid in the summer.

The midfielder has been a revelation for The Reds in the engine room. He’s worked with some of the best forwards in the game and believes Rashford can be at the very top level.

“What a spectacular player,” Casemiro told ESPN Brasil. “I’m enjoying playing with him. He gives us a lot of energy. I’m delighted to play with him.

“He has an incredible way of hitting the ball, he’s got strength, he’s quick, is very clever playing. He was one of the players that really surprised me [when I joined].

“I’m sure if he stays like this, with the conditions he has, he can easily be a top-five player — he’s exceptional.”

The trio will be crucial to United should they have a successful season. They are now just four points away from Manchester City in second place and look likely to reach Wembley in the Carabao Cup. They face Charlton Athletic in the quarter-finals on January 10.
