Manchester United confirm Michael Carrick XI vs Fulham as Matheus Cunha decision made (Premier League)

Manchester United have confirmed how Michael Carrick has replaced Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu as they welcome Fulham to Old Trafford.

Michael Carrick will be looking to sustain a feel-good factor as Manchester United host Fulham at Old Trafford in Sunday afternoon’s Premier League clash.

The ex-England midfielder could scarcely have asked for a better opening to his time in charge. A polished 2-0 win over Manchester City in the derby was backed up by a dramatic 3-2 triumph against league leaders Arsenal, a result that turned plenty of heads.

Ahead of the weekend’s action, United had pushed themselves into the top four, holding a one-point advantage over Chelsea in fifth and sitting two points above Liverpool in sixth.

Fulham, however, represent a serious test. Marco Silva’s men have been in strong form, suffering just one defeat in their last five matches, alongside three victories and a draw, including a 2-1 success against Chelsea and a 2-2 stalemate with Liverpool.

The XIs are confirmed below, with Carrick starting Matheus Cunha in the front line to replace Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu, who has a hamstring injury. At the same time, Shea Lacey returns to the squad, with Mason Mount unavailable.
