Manchester United’s squad to face Lyon in the second-leg of their Europa League quarter-final clash has been confirmed.
After drawing 2-2 away from home in the first-leg, Manchester United have an extremely important clash against Lyon at Old Trafford on Thursday night.
Ruben Amorim’s side are not in the best vein of form and are yet to win a game since returning from the latest international break.
However, in their first-leg clash against Lyon, it was evident that United could win against the French side and mistakes were ultimately what cost them of a win heading back to Manchester.
They will need to avoid such mistakes at Old Trafford, but if they can do that, a place in the semi-finals should be theirs.
Ahead of the evening kick-off, Amorim’s squad were spotted arriving at the stadium.
Amass included in United squad vs Lyon
Harry Amass turned up to Old Trafford alongside the likes of Mason Mount and Harry Maguire as Amorim continues to trust him to be involved.
The young defender started his first-ever professional game on the weekend against Newcastle and held his own in the clash.
Luke Shaw has also arrived with the squad at the Theatre of Dreams and has been tipped to start the game by ex-defender Wes Brown.
With no Joshua Zirkzee in the squad, this seems like a crucial encounter for Rasmus Højlund as the only recognised striker in the team.
18-year-old forward Gabriele Biancheri trained with Amorim’s squad on Wednesday but he was not pictured arriving at the stadium with the squad.
It is possible that the young Welshman, or another player like Jack Moorhouse, took an alternative entrance into Old Trafford.
The full team news for the game will be available from 18:45 BST, just over an hour before the important game kicks off.
