Manchester United’s confirmed 28-man training squad vs Spurs in Europa League final

Manchester United broadcasted their latest training session at Carrington ahead of their travels to Bilbao for the Europa League final this week.

On Wednesday evening, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will clash in their most crucial match of the season — the Europa League final.

Both sides have endured dismal Premier League campaigns, with Ruben Amorim’s team currently in 16th place, just one spot above Spurs.

However, a win in Bilbao would not only cap off a difficult season with a trophy but also guarantee a place in next season’s Champions League.

In preparation for the final, United have travelled to Spain, with Amorim selecting a 21-man squad for the showdown against Ange Postecoglou’s men.

Triple injury boost in United training

One of the first things noticed during United’s training on Tuesday morning was that Leny Yoro was involved in the session and it looks like he will be included in the squad.

The French defender faced an injury earlier this month which led to major concern that he would not be fit to play in Bilbao.

It still remains to be seen whether the teenager is fit to start the game, with Luke Shaw likely to take his place on the left side of the back three if he is not ready.

In terms of the other injured players, Diogo Dalot and Joshua Zirkzee were also spotted in training but Matthijs de Ligt was not on the grass.

Meanwhile, several youngsters were involved in Amorim’s session, with Harry Amass and Tyler Fredricson likely to be on the plane. Chido Obi was also amongst the squad at Carrington despite being unavailable to play in the final.

The rest of the squad was as expected, with the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho and Casemiro in good spirits ahead of their travels to Spain.
