Manchester United vs Fulham latest injury news as four stars ruled out of Premier League clash

Manchester United face Fulham at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon and Michael Carrick will be looking to continue his unbeaten run in charge.

Manchester United have won back-to-back games against Manchester City and Arsenal in Michael Carrick’s first two games in charge.

The performances were both impressive as United earned six points despite playing against the two top teams in the Premier League.

But now, United are set to face another kind of challenge as high-flying Fulham travel to Old Trafford to try and cause an upset.

The Cottagers are currently seventh in the Premier League table and just four points behind United in fourth. In contrast to the City and Arsenal games, the Reds will be expected to dominant and win this clash.

United vs Fulham latest injury news

United will be without the in-form Patrick Dorgu for this clash after he suffered an injury during the win over Arsenal last weekend.

“Pat unfortunately is going to be out for a period of time. We’re still working through that. It’ll be a few weeks. How many weeks, we’ll have to wait and see,” Carrick said in his press conference.

The United boss also confirmed that Joshua Zirkzee has returned to training but Matthijs de Ligt still isn’t at that stage yet. It is yet to be seen whether Zirkzee is fit enough to return to the squad.

De Ligt was considered one of United’s best players this term before his injury at the end of November. He has not returned since then and is missed in the United backline.

Fulham also missing two stars

On the other hand, Fulham will be without two players heading into this clash with Carrick’s side. Sasa Lukic and Rodrigo Muniz are set to miss the game.

Kenny Tete is pushing for a return to action after missing four games with a hamstring problem.

Marco Silva’s side will have a new option in their side for this game after the signing of Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb was finalised this week.

Regardless of these injury concerns, United will be hoping to continue their good form and secure another three points on Sunday afternoon.
