Manchester United vs Everton: Form Guide (FA Cup)
Manchester United welcome Everton to Old Trafford on Friday night as Erik Ten Hag’s men look to progress to the next round of the FA Cup.
The two sides are coming into this game at opposite ends of both the Premier League table and their recent form. Reports earlier this week have suggested that this tie could be a make or break game for Everton boss Frank Lampard with Everton on an incredibly poor run.
Here is how the form of both teams looks going into the game:
Manchester United – W, W, W, W, W
Since the resumption of English football after the World Cup break, The Reds have been flawless, winning four out of four without conceding a single goal. The unusual timing of the World Cup seems to have hampered other clubs but Erik ten Hag‘s men have picked up where they left off after Alejandro Garnacho‘s last minute winner against Fulham in November.

The fixtures have been kind to Manchester United. Since the restart they have faced Championship opposition, Burnley and three of the bottom six teams in the Premier League.
Whilst the fixtures have been favourable on paper, it should take nothing away from how comfortable United have been in securing the victories.
Everton – L, L, L, D, L
Everton find themselves laguishing in 18th in the Premier League table. Frank Lampard’s side haven’t won a game since back in October and the pressure is mounting on the former Chelsea manager.
Everton’s last five games have seen them crash out of the Carabao Cup 4-1 at the hands of Bournemouth with The Cherries beating them again just 4 days later 3-0 in the league. Relegation rivals Wolves ran out 2-1 winners at Goodison Park on Boxing Day and last weekend saw The Toffees handed another 4-1 thumping at the hands of Brighton.
Amidst those losses, Everton did travel to the Etihad to take a point from Manchester City which will give them a shred of belief heading into the FA Cup tie against the red side of Manchester.
Rotation could be expected for both sides with Everton surely having one eye on a relegation six-pointer against Southampton next Saturday and Ten Hag’s men looking to book their place in the Carabao Cup semi-final when they face Chartlon Athletic on Tuesday night.
