Manchester United have been told what to expect from 16-year-old starlet Chido Obi-Martin once he joins the club.

Manchester United secured a deal earlier this summer to sign Arsenal’s rising star, Chido Obi-Martin, on an initial scholarship.

Obi-Martin, who scored 32 goals for Arsenal’s Under-18s last season, was considered the top talent in their academy.

However, he declined a scholarship offer from the London club and began exploring other options, including a visit to United’s Carrington training ground.

Several reports confirmed that the 16-year-old agreed to join United in late July, with the prospect of first-team football being a key factor in his decision.

Fabrizio Romano also reported that the young forward turned down more lucrative offers from Bundesliga clubs to join the Reds.

Obi-Martin has been sharing individual training videos on social media, and there are no concerns about the deal despite a prolonged Premier League ratification process.

The young Dane has also been the topic of conversation for Denmark’s under-18s head coach Morten Eskesen over the international break, with the manager explaining what he will bring to United.

“I spoke to him last week and asked him if he was fit for the fight and injury-free. He was, and he is in between jobs,” he told Tipsbladet.

“Right now he doesn’t have a club, but it’s only a matter of time. After all, a lot happens in the transfer window. We know what he stands for.

“His greatest competence is that he scores many goals. If you saw some of the goals at the European Championships… he’s a really good finisher and positionally good, so he gets free for that.

“He is also good man-to-man. He is good at running in depth in relation to getting into free positions. His finishing skills are what allow him to score so many goals.”

He will be keen to join up with the youth team squad at Carrington as soon as possible to start working towards impressing Erik ten Hag and the first-team coaching staff.
