Manchester United will make one major change to their match days at Old Trafford, after listening to the requests of their own fans.
Manchester United have endured a difficult start to the season, although their recent win against Sunderland before the international break will give them hope as they head forward.
Ruben Amorim’s side will next travel to face the reigning Premier League champions, Liverpool, as they seek back-to-back wins in the league for the first time since the appointment of their Portuguese coach.
United head into their eighth league game in 10th, but will be optimistic that they can snatch a result against what is a very out-of-form Arne Slot side.
Despite only 10 points in seven games, the Reds have been solid at home, earning nine points from a possible 12. Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Co. are now looking to improve their Old Trafford match days even further.
United decide on post-match music
According to a report from United In Focus, the Red Devils have responded to a survey issued to fans as they attempt to settle on their PA arrangements on match days.
Typically, on a match day at Old Trafford, fans are seated before the match as they listen to the music and chants that ring around the stadium during the players’ warm-ups.
The club surveyed 6,500 season ticket holders and Executive Club Members, with 40% of these sitting in the Stretford End, before listening to the results.
From the results, the club have concluded that music will be played between the end of the warm-ups and team walkout, apart from high-profile games.
Additional details on music plans
The players’ walk-out song, This Is the One, will remain unchanged, whilst Country Roads will continue to be a feature following any mandatory competition anthems before kick-off.
It is important to note that, no music will be played following a draw or a defeat, although Glory Glory Man United will continue to be played following any wins.
As well as this, United have announced that their E-Bar trial during the Reds’ 2-0 victory over Sunderland was successful, as their four machines served over 600 pints during the pre-kick period and half time.
Clearly, the United higher-ups are listening to their fans and addressing their needs, which is refreshing to see as the club look to go ahead with their plans to construct a new stadium.
