A Manchester United star has hinted that he will be ready to start in the Manchester derby next week after a clear one-word message.
Manchester United’s start to the new Premier League season has been slightly underwhelming, with only four points from the first three fixtures.
Ruben Amorim’s side have taken on Arsenal, Fulham and Burnley so far, where they have lost, drawn, and then won, leaving them ninth in the table.
Despite the 3-2 victory against Burnley, not everything went according to plan as new signing Matheus Cunha was forced off through injury in only the 31st minute of proceedings.
Many fans of the Reds have been eagerly anticipating an update regarding their new Brazilian’s injury, and whether he will be ready for the Manchester Derby. Cunha’s latest Instagram post may be just what United fans will want to see.
Cunha drops one-word hint
With Amorim’s side taking on their fierce rivals, Manchester City, after the international break, they will be hoping that their £62million attacker is available for the tough fixture.
Cunha has now posted an update of himself training on his Instagram, with a clear hint that suggests he will be ready for the fixture next weekend.
The 26-year-old’s post reads ‘Sunday’s’ with a grinning emoji, as well as an hourglass and firework emoji. This could easily suggest that he will be ready for next Sunday’s derby.

United will be hoping that this is the case because, despite not scoring yet, Cunha has been very impressive for Amorim’s side every time he has stepped onto the field.
United need to capitalise
If United’s summer signing can be ready for their fixture on Sunday against their local rivals, then it should provide them with the perfect opportunity to beat Pep Guardiola’s side.
Manchester City have started the season slowly, picking up consecutive losses in the league, as well as picking up a couple of unfortunate injuries along the way.
As was the case last year, Amorim’s side travelled to the Etihad at the perfect time when their local rivals were underperforming, and walked away as 2-1 victors thanks to late goals from Amad and Bruno Fernandes.
United need to yet again capitalise on their neighbours’ poor form, especially if Cunha is to be available, as there may be no better time to take on Guardiola’s side.
