Manchester United star ‘growing frustrated’ with Rúben Amorim, already contacted Premier League rival about summer exit

One Manchester United star is reportedly growing frustrated with life under Rúben Amorim and is said to have already held talks with a Premier League rival concerning a switch this summer.

Manchester United are heading into a seismic summer, with Rúben Amorim ready to tear down the current squad in a ruthless rebuild backed by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS.

At least ten senior players are set to be pushed out as the club look to raise major funds and usher in a bold new era at Old Trafford.

Veterans like Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelöf, and Jonny Evans will walk away when their contracts end — but the real shock lies in the planned sales of Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Jadon Sancho, with United hoping to bank over £100 million.

No one is safe. Even the futures of Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo, and Alejandro Garnacho are under review as the club weigh big calls to relieve financial pressure and reshape their future.

Garnacho growing frustrated with Amorim

Garnacho has played 55 times for United, more than any other player this season. Bruno Fernandes is second highest with 53 appearances, with Noussair Mazraoui tied with the club captain.

Garnacho has started United’s last 14 fixtures in a row and has been a pivotal part of Amorim’s time at United so far. However, according to TBR Football, the player is growing frustrated.

The 20-year-old winger initially had a tough time under Amorim as he tried to adapt to playing a slightly more inverted role in attack. The player regularly played on both the left and right sides.

After a period of failing to find the back of the net, Garnacho has somewhat found his form again, providing two goals and two assists in his last seven appearances, taking him to 21 goal involvements this season.

Garnacho in contact with Chelsea over summer move

The report from TBR Football further states that amid Garnacho’s growing frustrations, Chelsea are continuing to track his situation at United and remain in close contact with Garnacho’s representatives.

It is added that United would be ready to sanction Garnacho’s transfer this summer, with a transfer for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha almost complete.

United are said to view Cunha as a direct replacement for Garnacho, with the club willing to accept offers in excess of £60 million for the Argentina winger this summer.

However, Chelsea still face competition from Napoli for the young star, with Antonio Conte a big fan of the player and seeing him as a direct replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
