Manchester United squad vs Real Sociedad confirmed as “unstoppable” Academy star spotted

Ruben Amorim and his Manchester United squad have arrived at Old Trafford ahead of their crucial Europa League clash against Real Sociedad.

Manchester United face Real Sociedad in the second leg of their Europa League round-of-16 tie after the first leg ended in a draw.

With their Premier League struggles continuing, the Europa League represents United’s only realistic opportunity to claim silverware and secure European football for next season.

Ruben Amorim’s side remain unbeaten in the competition and dominated the first leg in San Sebastián. However, despite their control, United were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw after Sociedad were awarded a controversial penalty.

The decisive showdown takes place at Old Trafford this evening, and United have to deliver a strong performance to their home crowd.

United squad vs Sociedad confirmed

Patrick Dorgu was among a group of United players to stop and sign some autographs for supporters outside of Old Trafford. He is back available since his suspension only applies for domestic competition.

Manuel Ugarte walked into the ground alongside Joshua Zirkzee and Noussair Mazraoui while sipping a Maté tea. The Uruguayan had missed United’s last two games, including the first-leg against Sociedad, but is fit for this clash.

Several exciting Academy players were also spotted walking into the stadium, including Tyler Fredricson, Harry Amass, Jack Fletcher and James Scanlon.

Scanlon has 17 goals for the Academy teams so far this season and has been labelled as “unstoppable”. The winger and Fredricson were late additions to the Europa League B-List on Thursday morning.

Amass and Fletcher are also highly-rated talents, and Fredricson comes into the squad after injuries to the likes of Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro.

Alejandro Garnacho was not spotted walking into the stadium but he would have likely taken an alternative entrance into the ground.

Midfielders: Christian Eriksen, Toby Collyer, Casemiro, Jack Fletcher, Bruno Fernandes, Manuel Ugarte.

Forwards: James Scanlon, Rasmus Højlund, Joshua Zirkzee.
