Manchester United star slammed for “unacceptable” mistake vs Real Sociedad, teammate “went crazy” at him

Diogo Dalot was slammed by Robbie Savage during Manchester United’s clash against Real Sociedad for an “unacceptable” mistake in the first-half.
Manchester United needed a positive result heading into their Europa League clash against Real Sociedad on Thursday night.
Ruben Amorim’s side only have one potential route into the Champions League next season and that is through winning this competition.
They started the clash in San Sebastian better than expected and caused some trouble on the break for the Spaniards.
However, after failing to take their chances, the Reds have gone into the break drawing 0-0 and Amorim will hope that they will not regret that.
Dalot slammed for unacceptable mistake vs Sociedad
Midway through the first-half of the game, United managed to cut open Sociedad’s backline and Diogo Dalot was running through on the right flank.
The Portuguese defender needed to play a first time cross to Rasmus Højlund, who was running towards the front post inside the box.
Instead, Dalot ignored the run and passed inside. The chance for United was gone and TNT Sports commentator Robbie Savage was furious with his decision.
That’s unacceptable,” raged Savage after the move broke down. “If I was a manager now I’d be absolutely hammering him.
“What’s gone through Dalot’s mind there? You’re in, you see your centre-forward, pass it!”
Højlund, who is struggling in front of goal recently, was also far from pleased with his teammate. Laurie Whitwell noted that the Dane “went crazy” at Dalot for failing to find him.
United constantly seem to make half-decent opportunities in the final third but it is either a poor decision or shot which ruins their chances of scoring.
It is a trend that is hard to break, especially when some of these players are getting criticised for long goalscoring droughts or form.
