Manchester United shirt numbers available for Ruben Amorim’s deadline day signings

Manchester United could make at least one signing and several sales on deadline day in this summer transfer window.

So far this summer, Manchester United have secured four signings and saw two players depart – one on loan and the other on a permanent deal.

Benjamin Šeško, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha have joined to bolster Ruben Amorim’s attack while Diego Leon will provide youthful competition at left wingback.

Marcus Rashford left the club to join Barcelona on loan and Alejandro Garnacho has joined Chelsea on a permanent transfer worth £40 million.

Rasmus Højlund and Antony are two other players who could depart before the deadline and the extra space in the squad could lead to United securing more signings.

United shirt numbers available for deadline day signings

Shirt numbers are always something fans pay attention to when new signings come in the building. Šeško has taken the no.30, Mbeumo wears no.19, Leon no.35 while Cunha has taken the iconic no.10.

United are planning to bring in a new goalkeeper – either Senne Lammens or Emi Martínez – but the no.1 is currently occupied by Altay Bayındır and he is unlikely to leave.

Interestingly, Lammens has wore the no.91 at Royal Antwerp so he could don that shirt number if he joins. Martínez wears no.23 at Aston Villa which is taken by Luke Shaw at Old Trafford.

The no.31 is available and previously worn by ex-goalkeeper Jack Butland. That could be an option for any shot-stopper joining.

United are also looking to bring in a midfielder before the deadline and there are several squad numbers which could fit someone in the engine room.

The no.14 is still available after Christian Eriksen’s departure and the no.17 is now free too after Garnacho’s exit. The no.20 could also be taken after Diogo Dalot switched to no.2.

All of the available shirt numbers below no.40 for new additions this summer will be listed below.
