Manchester United look set to welcome two of their stars back to the squad ahead of their Premier League clash with league-leaders Arsenal.
Following an incredibly successful bout against Manchester City, Manchester United face yet another tough test this weekend as they travel to the Emirates to face Arsenal.
The Reds put in a dominant display against their neighbours, with Bryan Mbeumo and Patrick Dorgu making the difference to give Michael Carrick a debut victory.
The Premier League leaders will be difficult to beat for Carrick’s side, although their victory over Pep Guardiola’s City will give them plenty of confidence.
As well as this, United will be more confident than ever as they make the trip to North London, as they are expecting to welcome two of their stars back to the squad.
United welcome back duo
As stated in a report by Manchester World, Carrick will be welcoming Shea Lacey and Noussair Mazraoui back to the United squad for their trip to Arsenal.
United granted Mazraoui additional time off following the conclusion of the Africa Cup of Nations, which saw his Morocco side beaten 1-0 in extra-time.
The 28-year-old is expected to be involved in the final couple of training sessions before they take on Mikel Arteta’s side. Mazraoui is also expected to be fully fit for the bout.
As for Lacey, the talented teenager will be in contention following the Manchester derby, which he missed due to a suspension that he picked up in the FA Cup against Brighton.
United ready for Emirates test
With the pair of Mazraoui and Lacey being welcomed back to contention for the Reds, this means that they are only without their Dutch duo, Matthijs De Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee.
De Ligt has been missing in action for the past 10 matches due to a back injury and has yet to return to training. As for Zirkzee, he missed the match against City with a ‘small knock’ and has also missed the Reds’ latest training session.

United will need to be at their best if they are to get a positive result against the high-flying Gunners, who have yet to lose at home all season.
Now that the Reds are slowly getting back to a fully fit squad, we will hopefully get to see an idea this weekend as to what an ideal United starting XI looks like to Carrick.
