Manchester United are expected to field a changed XI as Erik ten Hag aims to start his two-part journey to his first final as manager.

Manchester United have an important few weeks ahead of them, with important fixtures across all four competitions against the likes of Nottingham Forest, Reading, Barcelona, and Leeds United the next set of immediate opponents for Erik ten Hag.

With this in mind, Erik ten Hag will want to utilise his squad to it’s full capacity across these next few weeks – with Jack Butland possibly in line to make his debut for the club on Wednesday evening.

Sitting in front of Butland are the two central defenders, one of which could be filled by the return of Harry Maguire, who has been relegated to the bench for much of the season. Maguire would likely be joined by Lisandro Martinez as Ten Hag would look to keep at least one of his starting defenders in the back line.

The full-backs will most likely see Aaron Wan-Bissaka keep his place as Diogo Dalot was ruled out of the fixture due to injury, however after a disappointing performance against Arsenal, Luke Shaw could be replaced by Tyrell Malacia.

The midfield will almost certainly see the return of Casemiro to the XI after his served his one-match suspension against Arsenal due to yellow card accumulation, where he could be paired alongside young midfielder Zidane Iqbal, who will be looking to make an impression on Ten Hag for the second half of the season.

In front of them will most likely sit Bruno Fernandes, who has been integral to the Dutchman’s starting sides recently, with Marcus Rashford starting on the left to continue his wonderful form while Alejandro Garnacho could get a runout on the right side in place of Antony.
