Manchester United came from behind to beat Barcelona 2-1 and progress to the Europa League round of 16.

After going behind through a penalty from Robert Lewandowski, United scored twice in the second half to win the tie.

Fred and Antony were on the scoresheet as the Brazilians trumpeted the Spanish side.

The UtdDistrict player ratings can be viewed below:

David de Gea – 5.5/10

Unlucky with the penalty. Could have given Barca the tie with a horror pass just before half-time. Important save in the second half.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 6/10

A solid enough performance until he was replaced.

Raphael Varane – 8.5/10

Excellent all night. Like his partner. He dealt with the Barcelona attack well all night. What a clearance off the line at the death.

Lisandro Martinez – 8.5/10

This guy with another brilliant performance. Surprised? Me neither.

Luke Shaw – 7/10

A quiet first half but a crucial role to keep the ball alive in the build-up to Antony’s goal.

Casemiro – 7/10

A couple of sloppy moments in possession but some excellent interceptions and two huge tackles in the first half.

Fred – 9/10

Brilliant touch and finish to get United level. That moment really sparked the performance of the Brazilian and the team. Incredible second-half showing.

Bruno Fernandes – 7.5/10

Made the foul for Barcelona’s goal. Soft but still gave the referee a decision to make. Superb assist for Fred to make up for it at the start of the second half. Involved in the second too.

Jadon Sancho – 5/10

He was given the nod as the number ten and failed to impress in the role today. Looked slightly off the pace in the middle and that’s all it takes against top opposition.

Marcus Rashford – 5.5/10

Quiet night for United’s star man.

Wout Weghorst – 5.5/10

Got through his work but subbed at half-time.

Substitutes

Antony – 8/10

Incredible impact, What a finish to put United ahead. So much harder than it looked.

Diogo Dalot – 6/10

Good when he came on.

Alejandro Garnacho – 7/10

Impressive on the left.
