Manchester United player ratings as Reds drop points vs Tottenham Hotspur in 2-2 draw
Manchester United’s problems away from home continue as they fumbled a two-goal lead and drew against Tottenham Hotspur.
United were two goals up at half-time and it seemed like three points on the road were a certainty, however with the subs Erik ten Hag made, The Reds became progressively worse and in the end, were made to pay the price.
Here are the player ratings for the game:
David De Gea – 4/10
No authority in the area, unable to claim crosses as usual. Poor on the ball once again, going long far too often when he had better options. Not good enough and yet another indication to Erik Ten Hag that he needs a new goalkeeper.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 7/10
Solid once again as he has been in recent weeks, made a few good tackles and did well to progress the ball down the right, not sure why he was taken off by the manager.
Victor Lindelof – 6.5/10
Good performance from the Iceman, made a really important header in the second half, good on the ball too, unlucky to not have taken all three points.
Luke Shaw – 8/10
Brilliant performance from the Englishman once again, but was let down by his teammates.
Diogo Dalot – 6/10
Did well on the left and wasn’t great on the right, but again poor to concede at his back post like that.
Casemiro – 5.5/10
Below average performance from the Brazilian, didn’t do anything special but didn’t do much wrong, misplaced loads of passes.
Eriksen – 6.5/10
Completely lost control when he came off, did well to move the ball with one-touch passing and good movement.
Bruno Fernandes – 7.5/10
Brilliant performance from the Portuguese, overall game has improved so much and tonight was a reflection of that. Had to score the chance he made himself, brilliant move but off the bar.
Antony Santos – 6/10
Average performance from the winger, didn’t do much right but didn’t do much wrong either.
Marcus Rashford – 7/10
Brilliant performance at CF, but not so much when he was on the left. Overall CF play was really good and took his goal incredibly well, once he moved to the left he lost the ball way too much and cost control.
Jadon Sancho – 6.5/10
Scored a good goal, and could’ve had two. Decent performance.
Substitutions
Fred – 4/10
Really really poor when he came on, lost possession so many times, cost United the game.
Anthony Martial – 5/10
Ineffective today, couldn’t do much and wasn’t really given any service
Wout Weghorst – 4/10
Poor and ineffective, did nothing at all
Tyrell Malacia – 3/10
Made a huge error for the second goal, running out like that shows so much inexperience. Cost United the game.
