Manchester United player can help Erik ten Hag “save £100 million”
Kobbie Mainoo has been told that he can save Erik ten Hag £100 million if he continues his talented trajectory at Manchester United.
Before his unfortunate injury against Real Madrid, Kobbie Mainoo was rightly receiving high praise for his performances during Manchester United‘s pre-season.
Mainoo is set to become one of the most talented midfielders that Erik ten Hag‘s club have produced in a long time, with fantastic technical ability and intelligence allowing the player to play a multitude of positions across the pitch.

Mainoo is not expected to return to the squad until mid-October due to his ankle problem, but former United striker Andy Cole believes that once he returns, he will have a significant impact on Ten Hag’s squad.
“I watched him in pre-season and I wasn’t the only person to think ‘wow’,” Cole told BetFred.
“The way the kid was playing was absolutely ridiculous and I asked one of the club’s hierarchy about what Kobbie’s going to do this season and they told me that he wasn’t going to be loaned out as the manager really likes him and I can see why.
“He has everything in abundance. It was a bit of a sickener to see him get injured against Real Madrid but I believe if he keeps going the way he’s going, then he’ll have a big future at Manchester United.
“You look at how much Chelsea and Arsenal spent on [Moisés] Caicedo and [Declan] Rice respectively, Manchester United may not have to spend that much on a midfielder over the next few years because if Kobbie keeps going the way he’s going, then Manchester United are going to save themselves £100 million.”
