Manchester United issue statement on Garnacho, Varane, and Amad injury latest

Manchester United have spoken on the latest news surrounding the fitness of three of Erik ten Hag’s players.
Manchester United will kick off against Borussia Dortmund in their final fixture in the USA this summer, with the club having won one game and lost two so far.
It has been a set of fixtures where almost every single United player has featured in some capacity, and many have been surprised with the XI that Erik ten Hag has selected to face the German outfit.

United, notably, are without Raphaël Varane, Alejandro Garnacho, and Amad for the fixture, as none of these three are part of the squad in Las Vegas.
The club have confirmed that the absence of both Varane and Garnacho, fortunately, is just a precaution – there are expected to be no major issues with either player.
In Amad’s case, the player suffered an injury against Arsenal, with his knee now needing to be assessed to understand the extent of the injury.
The club will also continue to be without midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, who received an ankle injury in the opening minutes against Real Madrid and is expected to be injured for at least two months.
Speaking on Mainoo’s injury ahead of kick-off, Ten Hag said: “It was really disappointing. He was doing brilliant, but that happens in football and you have to deal with it.
“I hope he’ll be back quickly, we’ll support him, but he must do it by himself. I’m sure he’ll be back because he’s so resilient.”
