Manchester United have identified a ‘priority’ Premier League forward as a potential replacement for Marcus Rashford at Old Trafford.

Various reports have claimed that Marcus Rashford could be sold in either of the next two transfer windows.

Manchester United’s no.10 is up for sale for the January transfer window but it is felt a summer sale is more likely for the 27-year-old earning over £300,000-per-week.

Alongside Alejandro Garnacho, he was left out of Ruben Amorim’s squad to face Manchester City on Sunday afternoon, which only supports these rumours.

United need more firepower in the final third and Rashford’s departure would mean a replacement needs to come in.

According to a new report from Fichajes, the Reds are looking for solutions to ‘revitalise their attack’ amid Rashford’s potential exit.

It was claimed that the club have concluded that Brighton striker Evan Ferguson is the ‘priority’ after catching the eye with his potential and versatility.

Ferguson’s position at the Amex Stadium has been limited due to the performances of Joao Pedro but he was considered one of the best young forwards not so long ago.

The Irish forward has started just two games in the Premier League this season, with the majority of his minutes coming as a late substitute.

The aforementioned report further states that Brighton would be demanding £60 million for Ferguson’s signature.

Prior reports from Ben Jacobs has claimed that Sir Jim Ratcliffe views the 20-year-old as a long-term investment given his age and experience in the Premier League.

Ferguson ticks the boxes for the type of player that Ratcliffe wants United to sign.
