Manchester United have ‘real concerns’ over one £30 million star at Old Trafford and a potential Premier League replacement has been identified.

Ruben Amorim has started his duties as Manchester United head coach this week and will be eager to get going on the pitch soon.

The 39-year-old will lead United out for the first time in less than two weeks against Ipswich Town in the Premier League once the international break is finished.

In the meantime, he will be assessing the squad members who have not jetted off with their nations and will try to determine where he sees their futures lying.

According to Jacque Talbot, the Reds are still monitoring Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez after being linked with the 21-year-old in the summer.

Despite Luke Shaw coming close to returning to full fitness, it is claimed that there is ‘real concern’ over his future at the club given the amount of injuries he has suffered.

Shaw last played for United in February before returning to the pitch for England at Euro 2024. He suffered another injury in pre-season and has not come back since.

The Three Lions international joined the club in 2014 for a record-breaking £30 million for a teenager and is currently United’s longest serving player.

Tyrell Malacia also returned to action for the Under-21s this week, playing 45 minutes in a 4-1 defeat to Huddersfield Town after almost 18 months out of action.

However, the club will take his reintegration into the first-team slowly and the report adds that his future at Old Trafford is also under question.

Kerkez joined Bournemouth at the start of last season and shined for them in his debut campaign. He has started every game in the Premier League so far this term as the Cherries sit 12th in the table.

The exciting fullback has also garnered attention while playing for his country, Hungary, during their time at Euro 2024.
