Manchester United have drawn Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup third round as they commence their campaign to improve on last season.

Last time out, Manchester United fell at the final hurdle of the FA Cup, losing 2-1 against Manchester City in the competition’s final.

This time, they start their 2023/24 FA Cup campaign by travelling to Wigan Athletic in the third round.

When will the game be played?

The third-round matches are set to be played on the weekend of 6 and 7 January. The third round is where the Premier League teams are introduced into the competition.
