Manchester United December Player of the Month nominees revealed with the winner obvious
Casemiro, Marcus Rashford, and Luke Shaw have been nominated for Manchester United’s December Player of the Month award.
All three players have been instrumental in United‘s back-to-back-to-back wins last month, with Marcus Rashford scoring in all three fixtures.
Casemiro had performed brilliant display against Nottingham Forest, capping off the performance with a quality interception and pass to assist Fred’s goal at the end of the fixture.

Casemiro also covered for the ill-stricken Harry Maguire against Burnley in the EFL Cup, slotting in at centre-back alongside Raphael Varane and keeping a clean sheet.
Luke Shaw, against both Forest and Wolves, played a position quite unorthodox to him, slotting in at left-centre half once Casemiro had to step back into midfield with Scott McTominay absent. Shaw was almost flawless in the role, keeping clean sheets in both fixtures and doing tremendously well against Diego Costa in particular.
All three players have been instrumental in getting Erik ten Hag’s side off to a great start post-World Cup, however there is one obvious winner of the award for his electrifying displays both from the start and off the bench.
Player of the Month: Marcus Rashford
Marcus Rashford has collected three goals and one assist in the three games, scoring in each one. Against Wolves, after being dropped to the bench for oversleeping and being late to a team meeting, he came on and flipped the entire fixture on it’s head, scoring the sole goal in the second half to send United into the top four.
Rashford is United’s top goal scorer this season with 11 to his name so far, and if he continues this form is well on his way to beat his highest scoring season so far of 21 goals in 2020/21.
