Manchester United have confirmed Rúben Amorim’s starting team to take on Hong Kong in their second of two post-season friendlies.
Manchester United are set for the second of their two post-season friendlies as they take on Hong Kong in Hong Kong, China.
After a 1-0 loss to the ASEAN All-Stars in Kuala Lumpur, Rúben Amorim is likely to rotate his squad, combining first-team regulars with Academy prospects to put things right after a lacklustre performance.
The friendly comes on the back of a dismal season that saw United finish 15th in the Premier League and fall short in the Europa League final against Tottenham, resulting in a year without European football.
Still, the tour is expected to bring in over £8 million, and with Matheus Cunha closing in on a move to Old Trafford as the first summer addition, there’s fresh hope of a turnaround next season.
The XIs have been confirmed below, with Amorim starting Bruno Fernandes amid significant speculation about a potential move to Al-Hilal this summer, with Shea Lacey also in the XI.
