Manchester United have confirmed that Mason Mount has been selected to start as Rúben Amorim leads his side against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
With the October 2025 international break behind them, Manchester United are set to return to Premier League action with a trip to Anfield to take on Liverpool.
Rúben Amorim’s side currently occupy 10th place in the table after three wins from seven matches, but there’s a renewed sense of optimism going into the weekend, partly due to Liverpool’s recent struggles under Arne Slot.
After starting the season with five consecutive league victories, Liverpool have since fallen to three defeats in a row across all competitions — against Crystal Palace, Galatasaray, and Chelsea. Both domestic losses came via late goals, while their European trip to Istanbul ended in a narrow 1-0 setback.
United, meanwhile, head into the clash on the back of a confident 2-0 win over Sunderland, and Amorim will hope a positive result at Anfield can spark a sustained run of form.
The XIs have been confirmed below, with Amorim starting Mason Mount on the left of the front three, as Matheus Cunha is selected up front with Benjamin Šeško on the bench.
