Manchester United confirm Rúben Amorim XI vs Arsenal as Benjamin Šeško debut decision made (Premier League)

Manchester United have confirmed Rúben Amorim’s first competitive XI of the season as they welcome Arsenal to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

Fresh from a five-game pre-season in Sweden, the United States and at Old Trafford, Rúben Amorim’s Manchester United are set to begin the 2025/26 Premier League campaign.

United beat West Ham and Bournemouth, while draws with Leeds United, Everton and Fiorentina preserved an unbeaten record. A penalty shootout victory over the Italian side secured the Snapdragon Cup.

Attention now turns to Sunday 17 August, when Arsenal visit Old Trafford for the opening-weekend blockbuster.

Several debuts are expected. Benjamin Šeško, Matheus Cunha, and Bryan Mbeumo are in line for United, while Viktor Gyökeres, Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke and others could make their first competitive appearances for Mikel Arteta’s team.

The XIs have been confirmed below, with Amorim naming Šeško on the bench, likely to make his debut in the second half.

Goalkeeper André Onana has not been named in the squad due to injury, with Altay Bayındır continuing in goal after four pre-season appearances.
