Manchester United confirm Rúben Amorim XI for Europa League final as Alejandro Garnacho decision made vs Tottenham

Manchester United have confirmed that Rúben Amorim has chosen to leave Alejandro Garnacho on the bench as they face Tottenham in the Europa League final.

Manchester United will take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final on Wednesday evening, as Rúben Amorim aims to claim his first piece of silverware since taking charge.

United’s journey to the final has been anything but straightforward. After rising from 21st to 3rd in the league phase, they edged past Real Sociedad, Olympique Lyonnais, and Athletic Club to earn their spot in Bilbao.

Tottenham, meanwhile, navigated the knockout rounds with wins over AZ Alkmaar, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Bodo/Glimt to set up a showdown with Amorim’s side.

With both clubs languishing near the bottom of the Premier League, victory in the final would not only secure the Europa League title but also guarantee Champions League qualification — a boost worth over £85 million in revenue.

The XIs have been confirmed below, with Amorim starting Maosn Mount as part of the front line and Alejandro Garnacho on the bench as Leny Yoro returns to the defensive line.

Manchester United’s line-up

Subs: Bayındır, Amass, Dalot, Evans, Heaven, Lindelöf, Collyer, Eriksen, Mainoo, Ugarte, Garnacho, Zirkzee.
