“Manager’s dream…” – MUTV pundit raves about Manchester United star, he should start vs Bournemouth

One Manchester United star has been praised as a ‘manager’s dream’ ahead of the upcoming Premier League clash against Bournemouth.

Manchester United will be aiming to move closer to the Premier League’s top four when they face Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Monday night.

Ruben Amorim’s team are coming off one of their standout results so far this term; a 4–1 win over Wolves, with Bruno Fernandes scoring twice and Bryan Mbeumo and Mason Mount also finding the net.

United have proved difficult to beat recently, losing only once in their last nine Premier League matches, though just two victories in their last six continue to cast doubt on how convincing they truly are.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, travel to Old Trafford amid a poor run of form, taking only two points from their last six league games. Despite that slump, they have an impressive recent record at the ground, having earned consecutive 3–0 wins there over the past two seasons.

MUTV pundit raves about United star

One of the most in-form players at United right now seems to be Mount, who has scored three goals in his last four starts for the Reds.

Mount played from the left at Wolves and received the Man of the Match award for his performance. He has since received praise from MUTV pundit Phil Bardsley.

“Mason Mount’s been absolutely outstanding,” the ex-United defender said. “It’s great to see him get back to full fitness and playing with that edge and swagger – the reason he’s playing for Manchester United.

“He’s been unfortunate with injuries but he’s coming back into the fold and he’s looked exceptional. He’s a manager’s dream. You look at the way he conducts himself, you never hear any noise from outside the football pitch.

“He puts the hard yards in, he’s got quality and can chip in with a goal and an assist. He’s a perfect player to have at a football club who are trying to improve and win things. Someone like him falling into that form is only beneficial for the team and the club.”

Mount should start vs Bournemouth

Amorim has explained how he is still being cautious with Mount’s game-time to try and ensure that he remains fully fit after two years filled with injuries.

But with an energetic Bournemouth side visiting Old Trafford on Monday, many are expecting Mount to start the game.

His off-ball work could be important against The Cherries, while we are also starting to see his impact when United have the ball themselves.

Mount is not going to sprint past a defender on the flank or dribble through two or three players inside. But he moves the ball quickly and finds himself in dangerous areas on the half turn.

At his best, Mount is the kind of player who helps make others play better and his recent displays suggest he is getting closer to that form.
