Manchester United confirm Rúben Amorim XI vs Ipswich, Bruno Fernandes decision made (Premier League)
Rúben Amorim has chosen to start Bruno Fernandes as part of the midfield duo as Manchester United line up to face Ipswich Town in the Premier League at Old Trafford.
Rúben Amorim’s Manchester United are still searching for their first Premier League win of the month and will look to end that run when they welcome Ipswich Town to Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.
United’s last league match ended in a 2-2 draw at Everton, with second-half goals from Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte rescuing a point after another slow start.
A lack of urgency in the opening stages has been a persistent issue, often leaving United needing to fight back after conceding early.
With just two clean sheets across all competitions this season, defensive vulnerabilities remain a concern. However, against an Ipswich side battling relegation, Amorim will be hoping for a more controlled performance and a much-needed victory.
The XIs have been confirmed below, with Amorim starting Fernandes as part of the midfield duo instead of further up the field.
Manchester United’s line-up
Starting XI: Onana, De Ligt, Maguire, Yoro, Dalot, Ugarte, Fernandes, Dorgu, Zirkzee, Højlund, Garnacho
Subs: Graczyk, Harrison, Heaven, Lindelöf, Mazraoui, Casemiro, Eriksen, Obi.
