Michael Carrick has included Noussair Mazraoui in his 20-man Manchester United squad to face Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.
Michael Carrick enjoyed a perfect start to life as Manchester United’s caretaker head coach, overseeing a commanding derby win against Manchester City on Saturday.
United secured a 2–0 victory at Old Trafford to claim their third clean sheet of the season, and the scoreline could have been more emphatic had three goals not been ruled out for marginal offside calls.
In a fixture surrounded by intense scrutiny and anticipation, Carrick tactically outfoxed Pep Guardiola to deliver a memorable and authoritative performance.
The focus now shifts to Sunday’s trip to the Emirates Stadium, where United will aim to carry that momentum into a clash with league leaders Arsenal.
Mazraoui returns to United action
United will receive a boost in their game against Arsenal as it has been confirmed that Noussair Mazraoui has returned to the squad.
The defender returned from AFCON earlier this week following Morocco’s final defeat top Senegal. There have been question marks over Diogo Dalot’s form and Mazraoui could come straight back into the side.

Meanwhile, despite being available for action again after serving a one-match suspension, Shea Lacey was not spotted with the United squad heading to London. Neither was Matthijs de Ligt, who remains sidelined with injury.
Casemiro travelled for the game, as expected, and will undoubtably receive support from the travelling United fans after it was confirmed he will be leaving the club at the end of the season.
Otherwise, United’s squad is what you would expect and Carrick will have some interesting decisions to make for the game, such as who starts in the frontline.
