Manchester United could make the perfect loan deal this summer in a window where they have many priorities.

The Reds are looking to be busy in the coming months after confirming that Erik ten Hag will remain at the club.

Defensive and forward additions have been labelled as the priorities. However, they are also looking to boost their midfield options, with Casemiro and Christian Eriksen likely to leave.

INEOS might find difficulties due to the financial tightrope the club are walking right now, so loan deals might be another way to aid the window and squad.

According to L’Equipe, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and Manchester City have all approached PSG about potentially buying Xavi Simons.

However, it was explained that PSG do not want to sell him this summer because a significant portion of the transfer fee would go to PSV if he’s sold before January 2025.

Nonetheless, further details from the French media outlet reveal that Simons is eager to go out on loan rather than stay at PSG. The midfielder believes that Paris and Ligue 1 aren’t the optimal environments for his development.

Simons could be the perfect option for United this summer. The midfielder offers extreme quality to the United midfield and comes in without a transfer fee.

That would allow United to focus their funds on moves elsewhere, like with Jarrad Branthwaite or a striker to support Rasmus Højlund.

Simons also wants to prove himself and improve. The Premier League is the best destination possible for a player of his talent, so convincing him of the move should not prove too difficult.

It appears to be a sensible deal for all parties involved, but we do not yet know whether it would be agreed upon.
