Manchester United now “talking” with Michael Olise as transfer stance explained
Manchester United’s current plan with respect to signing Michael Olise this summer has been explained by journalist Fabrizio Romano.
There is little hiding the fact that Manchester United want Michael Olise this summer—Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS team see him as an ideal target.
Ratcliffe wants young, Premier League-proven players as part of his fantastic rebuild at Old Trafford, and Crystal Palace‘s 22-year-old French winger fits the bill perfectly.

Olise wowed United fans two weeks ago with a sublime performance against Erik ten Hag’s men at Selhurst Park two weeks ago, scoring twice in 85 minutes as part of a 4-0 thrashing.
Fabrizio Romano, famed transfer journalist, has explained the winger’s current stance towards leaving Selhurst this summer and what United are currently doing with their interest.
“Michael Olise is open to leaving Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window,” Romano began. “Michael Olise is doing fantastic at Crystal Palace, but in the case of a club triggering the release clause in his contract, around £60 million, Man United remains one of the clubs keen on signing Olise.

“We keep repeating that since months, so for sure he’s a target for Manchester United, for sure he’s on the shortlist, for sure he’s been approved by the scouting department, even before INEOS came in at the club.
“Olise is a player really appreciated by all the people, both new people and old people at Manchester United. They know there will be competition because he’s appreciated by other clubs too, including Arsenal, including Chelsea. They wanted him last year, he was close to going to Chelsea.”
Speaking further, Romano also explained that United are, in fact, keeping in contact with the player’s representatives.
“Newcastle also like Olise, so there will be movement around him. But Manchester United are well informed on the situation. So they are keeping contacts active for Olise, also on the player side, but they know that this is not an easy deal. So maybe United are there, but it’s not something advanced in terms of contacts yet.
