Christian Eriksen has told his agent to reject all approaches from one league, with the Manchester United star potentially leaving Old Trafford.

Christian Eriksen is looking likely to leave Manchester United this summer, having signed for Erik ten Hag during his first summer in charge two years ago.

After joining on a free contract from Brentford, Eriksen formed a fantastic trio with Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes. However, after suffering an injury in January 2023, the Danish international failed to regain his place and has since been ousted by Kobbie Mainoo.

Earlier this season, Eriksen admitted that he is not happy with his current role in the squad, saying: “I have had a conversation with Erik about being unhappy with the situation and wanting to play as much as possible, but I am available and need to be available for the team, which I am and always will be.

“He said it was the team he had chosen, and Kobbie is doing well, and the rest of the midfield is also performing well, so there is competition for places, which is expected when playing for a top club. There is great competition within the team.”

With this in mind, it becomes likely that Eriksen will be one of the names free to leave Old Trafford this summer to make space and free up wages for new signings.

But now, in an interview with Bold, Eriksen has confirmed that the Saudi Pro League is one league he will automatically reject should an offer arrive.

He explained: “I have never received an offer, and I have made sure that it has never been approached. If my agent has said something, I’ve always said that I don’t even want to know what it is because it’s not something that interests me.”

Asked if a deal could happen in the future, he gave a simple response: “No.”

Expanding on this stance, he added: “I understand that it can be really difficult to say no if you see how much money is involved, but I just try to avoid it completely so that I don’t get to know how much it could be.”
