Gary Neville and Roy Keane have agreed as Manchester United travel to face Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Manchester United are set to resume their Premier League campaign with a trip to Tottenham Hotspur in the coming days.

The two sides have already faced off in North London this season, with Spurs winning a dramatic 4-3 contest to eliminate Rúben Amorim’s side from the Carabao Cup.

Both clubs have endured a difficult season so far, sitting 13th and 14th in the table, with United holding a two-point advantage over their opponents.

With pressure mounting on both managers, this clash could prove pivotal—Amorim looks to maintain progress with his squad, while Postecoglou faces growing scrutiny from Spurs supporters.

Neville and Keane agree on United win

Speaking on The Overlap, former United stars Gary Neville and Roy Keane have agreed that they both feel United will win the tie despite being the away side for the fixture.

However, while Neville felt United would score twice, Keane believes the club will score three times. The two former Sir Alex Ferguson lieutenants felt that Amorim’s team will not keep a clean sheet.

“I think United win. 2-1 United,” Neville explained. Keane then followed up by asking if Tottenham have had any injury returns, jokingly stating: “Have Spurs got their players back? Is (James) Maddison back?”

Eventually, he settled on predicting a win for United: “I’m going to go United,” he said. “3-1 United.”

Both teams have had a week to prepare

For the first time, Amorim has had over a week to prepare his squad for the Tottenham tie, although Spurs have also had a similar boost, having not played since last Sunday.

This is a point that Postecoglou was keen to emphasis, although Keane felt that this will only be able to help him so much.

“My only thing with Ange is he mentioned they have no midweek games for a couple of weeks,” he said.

“But it’s not like you can just get a magic wand out on the training pitch and all of a sudden they make the players better.

“What happens if United go and beat them next week when they’ve a full week of and players back? Then they will definitely be looking at the manager.”
