Man Utd star reacts to Ruben Amorim’s plans for new signing, agent in Manchester to discuss future

One Manchester United star has reacted to Ruben Amorim’s plans to get a new signing in his position and his agent is now in Manchester to discuss his future.

Manchester United are looking to make further signings this summer after acquiring Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon within the opening weeks of the window.

Bryan Mbeumo is the next priority but there are several other positions which Ruben Amorim will want to strengthen ahead of next term.

A new striker is an obvious target, while the Reds are also aiming to bring in another midfield player. The latest injury news has also made another position higher priority.

Andre Onana will miss the entire of pre-season with a hamstring injury and is a doubt for the beginning of the Premier League campaign.

It is now being reported that Amorim wants a new goalkeeper to challenge the Cameroon shot-stopper, and that seems to have accelerated Altay Bayindir’s plans to leave.

Bayindir responds to Amorim’s plans for new goalkeeper

It has been claimed that United are prepared to activate the release clause for Brazilian goalkeeper John Victor this summer.

Since then, The Mirror, via the MEN, have reported that Bayindir’s agent has travelled to Manchester to discuss his client’s future at the club.

Bayindir rejected offers from European teams in January and new approaches are expected to come in the next weeks and it looks like he will be departing Old Trafford.

The Turkish international has made 11 appearances for United since arriving at the club in the summer of 2023.

Bayindir couldn’t take his chance

Bayindir was slightly unfortunate that he had suffered an injury last season at the same time Onana’s place in the team was at its most fragile.

But it never really seemed like the 27-year-old was prepared to take the opportunity.

His best performance in Red came in the FA Cup against Arsenal, where he saved a penalty in normal play and in the shootout. Yet even in that game, he was questionable for their goal.

With Onana staying at the club, Amorim needs a number two who can properly challenge for the position and it seems like that’s going to happen.
