Man Utd star likes post slating Ruben Amorim’s use of Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro

A Manchester United star has liked a post slamming Ruben Amorim’s use of both Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro following their 1-0 loss to Everton.

A good run of form for Manchester United has come to an abrupt end, as Ruben Amorim’s side fell to a 1-0 loss at home to Everton on Monday night.

The Reds, who were unbeaten in five games in the Premier League, were defeated by a ten-man Everton side thanks to a well-taken Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall curler, leaving them tenth in the table.

Following this disappointing result, the questions surrounding Amorim’s job have re-emerged, as many question whether he is ever going to get the best out of some of his stars.

More specifically, Amorim’s midfield usage has come into question, with the Portuguese tactician still opting for Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro as his pivot pair.

Dorgu likes Amorim slam post

Following this defeat, United wing-back Patrick Dorgu has liked a post on Instagram that has criticised Amorim’s use of both Fernandes and Casemiro.

The Instagram post from the handle “mufcunion” included a screenshot from X, via Manchester Evening News, stating, “Any coach that sees Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes as a viable pivot is one that isn’t serious.”

As for the post itself, this was captioned: “Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro CANNOT play together,” which was liked by the Danish international.

The midfield pair have started in 10 of United’s 13 games across all competitions, with the only exceptions being against Grimsby Town, Brentford and Manchester City.

United’s time for change

With Amorim struggling to get the best out of his players, and especially his captain Fernandes, something may need to change at Old Trafford if they are to climb the table.

The Reds don’t have any European football to focus on; therefore, they will be desperate to improve their league position as much as possible.

United have a kind run of fixtures on the horizon, but they are in danger of not capitalising on this if they continue to struggle against sides who are happy to play the majority of the game without the ball.

Hopefully, Amorim can figure out how to utilise his star players in the near future, otherwise, he will be running the risk of losing his job as United manager.
